Awaiting payment verifications process
I am a new seller with Amazon and I am seeing almost every order I receive through FBA now is awaiting payment verification. I don't experience this issue on any other platform I sell on.
What is most concerning to me is the pending sale ties up my inventory. I had a large quantity of my inventory tied up for 4 weeks until I contacted customer support.
The customer service representative canceled the two orders and now the inventory that was being held has not been reconciled.
Ultimately I would like to understand why Amazon commits seller inventory before receiving a payment.

1) They received a payment for it, the payment did not go through. While some less than honest competitors will use this tactic to keep you from making sales sometimes it is just how it is.
2) Orders can sit in pending for fba while they consolidate inventory to fulfill the order. We had a recent order of 50 units that I thought might have been the above reason, the shipping notices said otherwise.
