Inquiry about Ungating Branded Products and Account Acceptance for Pakistani-Based Sellers
Hello,
I am just getting started on Amazon and am a non-U.S. resident with a Pakistani-based Amazon account and a $0 sales history. My target marketplace is the USA. Can I ungate branded products by submitting an invoice for 10 units from the brand or an authorized distributor? If I purchase a product from a U.S.-based distributor with the billing address matching my seller account and the shipping address being a third-party prep center in the USA, will Amazon accept it? Additionally, does Amazon accept selling applications from Pakistani-based individual accounts? Will my selling application be approve or my invoice be accept by amazon?
Thanks in advance

Online arbitrage is a model leading to the death of your seller account....
If (for sure...) you dont believe that, know that for selling brands on Amazon you need:
1. A "Letter of Authorization" from the brand allowing you to sell their brand on Amazon.
2. INVOICE (not receipt) from an authorized distributor. An invoice is a document with your name and address, exactly how you registered it in your seller account under "Legal Entity" and "Official Registered Address".
An approval or "ungating" from Amazon to sell a brand doesn’t mean nothing. You need both mentionned documents.

In addition to what @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAChas noted, follow the rules!
Since you are new just be sure to follow the requirements for the new, improved Amazon.
For any rookies out there reading this, it is a near perfect example of how to probably get suspended on Amazon.
DO YOU have an LOA from the brand allowing you to sell on here?
DID YOU source from AUTHORIZED wholesale sources that your rep at the brand says are OK.
NOTE the verification from the brand that the source is legitimate and authorized, NOT one of those toted on TikTok and YouTube as having "thousands of brands and products".
If you have watched any YouTube or TikTok videos FORGET everything you saw there.
Spend hours/days on Seller U and read the Forum to see all the really creative ways rookies find to get suspended by ignoring the advice above!

Finally, You appear to be confusing AMAZON allowing you to list (or at least "ungate") an item or category and actually being APPROVED to sell a product. AMAZON is only interested in FEES. They will allow a chimpanzee to list if it means they collect $$$$$.
You really need to go study Seller U instead of TikTok and YouTube before your account gets kicked to the curb permanently.

Good Afternoon @Seller_iWe6CdHg8de5W, it looks like you were able to get some support from some of our seasoned sellers on the forums about sourcing and selling product on the US Amazon store.
If any of their replies helped you, feel free to mark it as “Most Helpful reply” using the 3 dots in the corner of their post. This helps other sellers find the answer to your question at the top of the post just in case they find themselves in a similar situation.
I also wanted to share two help pages about around best practices when sourcing products to sell on Amazon.
- Addresses Guidelines to source products to sell on Amazon
- Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell
These guidelines will also very depending on what category you would like to sell in. For certain products, brands, categories, and sub-categories, we require sellers to obtain approval before listing products. The approval process may include document requests, performance checks, and other qualifications. To learn more about that process click here.
Seller University would also be a great place for you to get started on your selling journey that way you can avoid unnecessary fees, confusion about how to add a product and be aware of penalties that may occur on your Selling Account if policies are broken as @Seller_kIukTwdhvntAp mentioned above.
If you are not a part of the New Seller Community, I would highly suggest joining and reviewing the content in that group as well.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions regarding the information provided above. May the sales be with you and have a great rest of your week.
Cheers, Cooper_Amazon
