Amazon barcodes
Hello everyone
I recently added a listing onto amazon for the fist time and when i added it to my inventory i selected the "use manufacturer barcode" since then ive been having issues with the barcode and wished i just selected the amazon barcode option.
Im able to print amazons barcodes for the product but im not sure if doing so would cause issues as i selected the manufacturer barcode option, would i be able to just print and use amazon barcodes and cover/remove the manufacturer barcodes or should i remove the listing and relist it but toggle the "use amazon barcodes" instead?

You will need to make a new offer for the same ASIN.
When you create it, make sure you specify a different SKU, and during the creation process you will be prompted whether to use manufacturer barcodes or Amazon FNSKU barcodes.
Important to note: The barcode choice is connected with the SKU, not the offer.
If for whatever reason you must reuse the same SKU, you will first need to delete the items using a product template upload (deleting them from the web interface is not enough, they lurk around like ghosts). After deleting them you need to wait 1-2 days for all systems to purge, otherwise you will get wonky results. It's more reliable to just use a new SKU as sometimes it takes longer to really delete the old SKU.
