My brand registration has been rejected again after investigation and support instructed me to reapply saying both brand and GTIN have been approved
I have an Amazon professional seller account and recently received my GTIN exemption, and I'm still in the process of setting up my seller store to sell my clothing brand, I have a pending trademark with the USPTO and have a print-on-demand supplier set up that integrates with Amazon.
as the title explains, While attempting to get my brand registered the first time, I received an email that my brand application was rejected for the following reasons:
1) "The image used for proof of brand does not show brand or label permanently fixed to merchandise." (The image I used was a shirt with my brand name and logo in large print on the chest and a smaller wordmark printed on the waist directly printed on the garment.)
2) "I am not allowed to use mock-up or edited images". (I laid my branded shirt on a table, took a picture with my phone, and did nothing else.)
During the Ask Amazon forum I shared my case in the forum sharing the image I had provided stating that I was confused and would greatly appreciate further communication as I have met these requirements.
after an investigation I received an email stating:
"We have completed our review and concluded that your brand meets our criteria for approval. After our investigation, we approved the brand name and GTIN has been exempted for you in Product Type Details category “Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry”. If you’re interested to further grow your brand on Amazon, enroll in Amazon Brand Registry".
I reapplied and was rejected again for the same 2 reasons and I'm still unable to open a store, I would greatly appreciate further assistance with registering my brand as I do not know what else I can do?
-Thank you

Dougal_Amazon
Hello @Seller_0EEYF5JrNjrDv,
My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I do remember your post from the Ask Amazon event, although I did not provide the response, I have the detail.
The response during the event was that the "images you have uploaded, and unfortunately, for the purposes of the application rules, they are not valid."
There is a difference in enrolling in brand registry and obtaining approval to sell your brand. I expect what you quoted in your post was the response you received from submitting a request to sell your brand name via selling applications in Seller Central. Brand Registry enrollment applications are completed via the Brand Registry site (not Seller Central).
Each of the 2 process listed above have different requirements and being approved to sell the brand name does not guarantee Brand Registry enrollment.
In your most recent Brand Registry application, you provided the same image as you did in the Ask Amazon event. I encourage you to return to that response as it provides exact detail of why that image cannot be accepted for enrollment into Amazon Brand Registry.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best, Dougal
