Dear Amazon Seller Support Team,
I am writing to express my concerns and request immediate action regarding the recent redesign of the "Manage All Inventory" page. Many sellers, including myself, have found this new layout to be counterproductive and problematic, especially for those managing a large number of products with multiple variations. The new dynamic display might have been introduced with the intention of improving the user experience, but unfortunately, it has had the opposite effect for a significant portion of the seller community.
Key Issues with the New "Manage All Inventory" Page:
1. Dynamic Sorting: The automatic prioritization of best-selling variations at the top of each page makes it extremely difficult for sellers to locate and manage less popular but equally important products. This is particularly problematic for sellers who manage dozens of products with multiple variations. In the past, we could easily expand a product family and see all variations at once. Now, we have to navigate through numerous pages, wasting valuable time and effort.
2. Limited Number of Items Displayed Per Page: With the new design, only 10 products are shown per page. For sellers with large inventories, like myself, this means scrolling through endless pages to find specific items. For example, my inventory spans over 140 pages under this new layout. This greatly hinders our ability to get a quick overview of stock levels, assess replenishment needs, or perform simple inventory checks.
3. Increased Time and Complexity for Routine Tasks: The new design has turned what used to be a simple, streamlined process into a time-consuming and inefficient ordeal. Sellers who need to quickly review product variations, update stock, or check performance metrics now find themselves clicking through multiple layers of information. This is especially frustrating for those of us who rely on swift decision-making and time management to operate our businesses effectively.
4. No Option for Static Viewing or Custom Sorting: The lack of flexibility in how products are displayed further exacerbates the problem. In the previous version, sellers had the option to organize their inventory in a way that made sense for their specific business needs. The new system does not allow for any customization or static display options, forcing all sellers into the same inefficient dynamic setup.
Seller Feedback Across the Community:
This is not an isolated issue. Across various seller forums and support groups, there is a growing chorus of frustration about this new design. Many sellers have shared similar experiences, with complaints about wasted time, unnecessary complexity, and the inability to efficiently manage their products. Sellers who previously handled their inventories in a matter of minutes are now spending hours clicking through page after page, only to find that basic tasks have become cumbersome and frustrating.
Our Request:
On behalf of the seller community, I strongly urge Amazon to either revert to the previous version of the "Manage All Inventory" page or provide an option for sellers to choose between the new dynamic layout and the old static layout. The old version allowed for quick and easy access to all product variations, was far more user-friendly, and met the needs of sellers who manage both large and small inventories.
Given the importance of time and efficiency in managing an online business, it is essential that the tools provided by Amazon support sellers in a way that maximizes productivity. The current version of the "Manage All Inventory" page, unfortunately, does not meet this standard.
Please consider this feedback and the collective voice of the seller community. We are committed to working with Amazon to make the platform the best it can be, but this recent change has created significant challenges that must be addressed for the continued success of all sellers.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and hope to see a swift resolution.
Sincerely,
