Product bar code when checked on Gs1

we have a supplier that has sent us product but we checked the bar code on Gs1 and it is not the product we have received,we can only think they use a 3rd party to make bar codes.

Need to know next step so we can add product to sell on Amazon,we are guessing we need to get a new Bar code from Gs1 and then submit that so to be able to sell FBM.

Please can anyone with possible experience with this situation confirm best approach.

Thanks.

Hello @Seller_gHOseSfJWuELh,

Thanks for reaching out. If the product you are going to sell does not have a GS1 barcode, you can request a GTIN exemption by following the information in the help page. Since your products have one, but they are not GS1 registered, the team will review and determine if you can get an exemption. If an exemption is not approved, the brand owner would have to get a GS1 barcode to put on the products. If you send your items into FBA, be sure to cover over any invalid UPC's that are not GS1 certified, as our system will not recognize them.

I hope this is helpful!
