Selling Perfume & Aftershave on Prime

Hi all, probably being a bit naive here but after all these years thinking of branching out a little. I know you have to get approved to sell in the category but was after some advice before starting. I’m assuming that amazon will want some documentation to even start the process. I’m just opening a account with a fragrance and beauty wholesalers , now the obvious question is a letter and or invoice from them good enough to get approval in the category?
Any help and or advice is greatly welcomed,
Regards
Steve

Hi for fba I imagine it would just be the SDS if the product is not already listed and possibly invoice to confirm authenticity.

Hi hopefully it is that simple, just thought if anyone knew of any pitfalls to avoid before starting as we all know amazon can be at times a bugger to deal with :flushed:

Be prepared also for the countless authenticity claims that you will receive.

Many, many buyers will question authenticity, everything from outright lying in order to get a free perfume through to innocent questions because it smells different to how they remember or the packaging has been redesigned and so they think it’s a cheap knock off. Obviously both of these have the potential to severely damage your account.

So if you are going into the market for the first time I would say that the most important thing is making sure invoices and authorisations are rock solid.
