Pending order payments for subscribe and save

Does anyone else find that subscribe and save orders are increasingly showing up as pending orders due to customer credit card not working?

I am finding that nearly half of my daily orders are going into pending status due to payment authorisation with a large chunk of those being subscribe and save.

I guess it is a sign of the times when so many customers place orders but when it goes to charging their credit card there are insufficient funds.

Bit of a catch 22 situation where you want to grow subscribers but so many are signing up to get an extra 10% off without any intention of being a regular subscriber.
