Seller Fulfilled Prime - Royal Mail Not Available
Has anyone else had issues with using Royal Mail for their Next Day Service required for SFP/Prime orders?
Since the end of September we have been unable to use our normal carrier Royal Mail (Tracked 24) as their coverage suddenly dropped to 0% within our shipping settings.
We have contacted both Amazon and Royal Mail on several occasions, both are saying it is nothing to do with them and to contact the other!
As DPD is so expensive we have had to switch Prime off which is costing us alot of sales.
Does anyone know why this has happened/how to get it resolved?

Hi,
we have been having similar issues over the last few months where Amazon are stating that Royal Mail cannot fulfill orders within a certain timeframe. DPD only cover 97% of the area that Prime services which results in us regularly losing our Prime badge. I understand that it may have been an issue during the height of the COVID lockdown but it doesn’t seem to have gone away

I read something on the Royal Mail service update website which says they cannot guarantee next day service. Details can be found link below:-

The biggest joke in all of this is that Amazon are still allowing their own courier, Amazon Shipping, to qualify for prime delivery and it’s absolutely appalling in terms of on time delivery.
We’re showing 84% on time delivery for amazon shipping over the last 30 days, Amazon never give us a warning for this and unsurprisingly never block their carrier for poor performance - had it been DPD or Royal mail we’d have a warning and request for action plan.
If we do even the smallest thing wrong in error they come down on us like a ton of bricks and yet again for them, owning the platform, being a retailer on it, owning a prime approved courier, different set of rules.
I was reading on here yesterday about a seller who got a suspension for selling counterfeits, claimed to have supplied all invoices and still amazon did not respond to them. Amazon apparently have sold counterfeits on their platform in the US, they still trade on their own platform.

When this happened to us some time ago, Amazon told me they had suspended our local Royal Mail depot due to them not processing parcels fast enough.

OK so I hope this will help you.
Once you get your Prime badge, stop posting from Amazon and use Royal Mail click & drop.
You will need to add your RM account to it for payment on account.
Once you start sending from Royal Mail Click & Drop which you need to sync with Amazon,
it will all work. You than will be able to make a decision what service to use.
At this moment Amazon is pushing to use 24 service even for 3 to 5 days orders, so get your freedom back. And as always get your own shop, I hate seeing small businesses build up and then get crushed by the giant overnight.
Stay safe

We were doing well with our SFP badge we were constantly growing each week and had reached around 20-25 items a day on the scheme until our service was suspended.
Over a period of time we recieved emails regarding our performance saying that it had slipped to around 98.91% so was under the 99% target, to be fair we just ignored it.
Then the week we were suspended from the scheme due to a Royal Mail delivery (one) arriving on the Wednesday instead of the Tuesday however ironically the customer had asked for a 2nd day delivery! For this we were suspended from the scheme.
Low and behold straight after we were asked if we would like a quote for amazon shipping UK, it was almost like it was set up, build up the orders, suspend you from the scheme, then force you into using shipping via amazon or send it into the fulfilment centres.
We’ve not appealed to be fair we can breathe again and you only put yourself under so much pressure and stress.
Also the 99% rate is set so its impossible for Royal Mail to meet these targets, I think there rate runs at around 96% for Royal Mail. The pandemic with staff shortages and the demand in online shopping is only going to make these percentages even worse.

Just thought I would chip in my thoughts.
We send most of our MFN orders and orders from other platforms via RM 24 or 48. For us it’s getting to the point where I would estimate up to 30% of these orders are reaching customers late whether its a day late or 2 weeks.
I spoke with our Royal Mail account manager a week ago and asked for some explanation as to why their service is delayed to the degree it is. I was told that they are busier than they have ever been in recent history, went on to say that operationally Royal Mail is doing very good and that only a few of their hubs in the UK are responsible for all the delays.
It’s funny that even with RM in the state it is in they are remaining very quiet on the matter. Obviously wanting to preserve their reputation as much as they can after the damage done in the first lockdown.
Essentially RM are hugely understating the extent of their delays and then trying to wash their hands of it and as a result are passing the blame on to the sellers.
Even under normal circumstances I would not trust Royal Mail to make SFP deliveries for you. They are good, but they do seem to have far more problems and are more likely to get you into trouble than other carriers.
Amazon is obviously aware of this and rightly so, they no longer have faith in their service (temporarily I assume).

Royal Mail click and drop can be integrated into Amazon for seller fulfilled prime, we have done it. The tracking all updates no problem.
