Unable to list a UPC- forced FNSKU created

I want to list a product I have in UK. It sells in USA already and when I go to list it, it defaults to fnsku even though I selected manufacturer barcode. Seller support is taking me in circles.

Somehow a new asin was also created and now amazon wont merge them because the new asin has retail contribution.

I believe when someone asked something similar the answer was that Amazon's policy on FNSKU vs manufacturer barode is different in the UK to the USA.

Worth taking a look at what the policy is in the UK in case you haven't already.
