False Copyright Infringement Claim
I recently received a false copyright infringement claim on one of my products, which I designed and manufactured. I hold a trademark in Canada and am awaiting my U.S. registration. I’ve already filed a DMCA appeal and attempted to contact the claimant, but the email address provided by Amazon bounced back as undeliverable.
The most shocking part? When I reached out to Amazon, they directed me to an identical listing on eBay in Hong Kong. How is it possible that Amazon suppresses my listing based on what is clearly a competitor's attempt to eliminate competition?
Has anyone successfully contacted someone at Amazon who can actually help? I was given the standard 3–14 day review period, but this delay is costing me thousands per day. Why invest in advertising if competitors can easily file false claims to get listings wrongfully suppressed? It’s incredibly frustrating, and from what I’ve read, there’s nothing stopping them from doing this again—even after we get our listing reinstated.
Does anyone have a direct contact at Amazon that I can reach?
