Creating a listing of already sold products
Hello, I’m looking to sell my products on Amazon. I see that there are other sellers selling my product. I’m the trademark owner, so I want to sell my product on Amazon as well. I’m Brand registered and looking to exclude the other sellers from selling my product but first I want to make a listing of our products. When I try to create a new listing an error occurs. Its says:
“the value ‘1234567891234’ specified cannot be used as it conflicts with the value ‘1234567891234’ for ASIN Z in the Amazon catalogue. If this is ASIN ‘xxxxxxxxxx’, update the value to match the ASIN data. If this is a different product, update identifying information (UPC/EAN/Part Number/etc).”
Is this because the other sellers are using the same product id (EAN)?
Can I create a new listing of my product even though other sellers are already selling my products or am I forced to use their ASIN from their listings?
Hope you can help me getting the Amazon dream going!

I am not sure quite what you are trying to do here.
Are you saying that the existing listings have a brand which you have now somehow registered as yours, or it was your brand initially and now you want to sell on Amazon and stop the others from doing so?

Yes. Anyone selling exactly the same product must list it in the same page of the Amazon catalogue. It’s their catalogue, not a collection of individual sellers’ catalogues
No and Yes, respectively
Then don’t supply them with stock in the first place, or do you mean that you don’t make the product yourself but have just bought a generic product and added your “brand” to it? If you want to exclude the other sellers from Amazon, you would have to put in a brand infringement complaint against them. But why do you want to exclude them? Are you afraid of competition? The whole point of marketplace selling is to allow multiple sellers to use a single selling platform

As I now understand, our goal is not to exclude other sellers from selling our product, so I misunderstood that. I really just trying to learn how to approach Amazon. Sorry for the misunderstanding and thank you for all your replies!

Doesn’t appear to be your original idea, but glad you decided to take a U turn on your decision
