How do you easily add images to a collectible or used listing??
For many years, I used a very old, probably long unsupported spreadsheet from Amazon itself to upload up to 5 photos per "collectible" listing" and 1 photo per "used" listing. It worked.
With the recent removal of support for MWS, it turns out my ability to use this spreadsheet is over. I didn't know this would be the case (had no idea the spreadsheet used MWS), but am not shocked.
So ... how do you easily upload images onto a collectible or used listing? I know there's the manual method of editing an inventory item and dragging in (up to 6) photos, but that's very time consuming over many listings.
When I tried to create a custom upload format sometime back, I could NEVER get the image fields to work.
(On every other site we utilize, this is simple to do, but on Amazon ...)

Actually, I played around further and here's a better format/example, with the tabs made clearer.

Adding the Condition Type removes a bunch of warnings from the processing files so I'd recommend doing that. You should still end up getting warnings 90043 for each field above:
"The localized column header was not found for Condition Type. We will report any future problems for this column using the English name. To correct this problem, open the tab-delimited file in Excel and ensure localized column names appear for all columns or download a new copy of the template from Amazon."
You can ignore these. Assuming no errors with the URLs, you should not see any other errors or warnings in the processing file.
Figuring all this out was a royal pain, Amazon's documentation does not match reality (no surprise) and there was much trial and error to figure it out.
See my note before this for more upload details but use THIS format.

I don't use the upload file system, just the online interface. It sounds as if you are talking about offer-specific images. With the online add / edit system those files are uploaded to the Offer tab (not the Image tab).
I am sure there are fields for those in the file upload.

No luck so far, I tried mucking with the Inventory Loader to add an extra field (for the main offer image at least). The record loads, no errors, but no image shows up.
I tried using a .CSV file generated by that old book loader spreadsheet, that totally failed.
The only thing left to try is to use the newest Book Loader and see if I can add fields for photos and try that. I do think I know the names of the fields (from the old spreadsheet) so maybe just maybe if I play around with that?? What a pain for something that should be so simple.
(And yes, I upload all the images to our web site's storage area first as required since you need to access a URL.)

In case anyone wants to know how to do this, I'VE FIGURED OUT A WAY -- at least for those who can generate this via code (like I do) or can easily build a spreadsheet or even flat file.
First, I upload listings via the Inventory Loader. Once in the system, I then upload a very limited "Standard Book Loader" file which ONLY is for uploading up to 6 offer-specific images.
Here's a hypothetical file with my header followed by one example listing (SKU 62287) that has three images:

TemplateType=bookloader Version=2024.0511 Category=bookloader TemplateSignature=QUJJU19CT09L
Seller SKU Update Delete Main Offer Image Offer Image1 Offer Image2 Offer Image3 Offer Image4 Offer Image5 Offer Image6
62287 PartialUpdate http...62287-1.jpg http...62287-2.jpg http...62287-3.jpg

The above file is tab delimited. It is uploaded as type "Standard Book Loader File". You can't list a full URL on these forums but you just substitute the full ones for the shortcuts I show. Also, I have blank tabs following the URLs to cover all 6 image fields.
(If you download the Book Loader from the templates, you might see a slightly different header based on the date you download, etc. if you want to play around. Or just use this one!)
Unlike the last version, this works on both used and collectible listings!!
Remember to allow some time for listings to go from incomplete to active, and for photos to move into your listings and then to the offer that a customer sees. (Today this seems especially slow for example.)
If this works, you will see success, for example 1/1 or 2/2 or 3/3 records loaded, etc. IGNORE any of the unrelated warnings that show up in the processing report (ie missing fields), I don't look at that even, no need.
Good luck, if you have questions I can try & answer.
