Help Huge Demand/Income Descrepency Between Payments Reports and Tracked Daily Sales in Business Reports. -Please read
This is a known problem without a resolution. There's a Bug in payments reports. We have 3 clients affected and other agencies are talking about this issue.
Dear Amazon,
In October we faced a huge discrepancy between the business reports and the payment summary report. The delta is apx $131,000.
$530,000 tracked in Business Reports to $399,000 reported in the payments summary report. Please see screenshots and reference the open case #
This puts us in a deep financial constraint. If you research previous months. For example, September 2024- Business reports reported $368,851 in demand and the Payments Summary reports reported apx $358,000 in demand. This delta is understandable. We have an active case #:
We would like you to deep dive into the October. Something feels amiss.

Hi @Seller_Mr1QPEwNSqvLm
Connor from Amazon here, thanks for reaching out.
Sellers have to reach out directly to seller support if they have any questions or concern regarding any payment discrepancies, we can only work with the account(s) that post directly from here.
If your clients need assistance, have them log in to their seller account and post their questions here.
Thanks,
Connor

Having the same issue.
The report we use for our P&L is Reports Repository < Account Type: All (Unified Reports) & Report Type: Summary < Reporting Date Range: Month < October
This monthly summary is missing ~$70K vs. sales reported on 'Sales Dashboard' (taking into consideration refunds, promotional rebates & other debits).
Normally the delta between monthly summary report and 'Sales Dashboard' is the $ value of refunds/returns.
Can you please let me know what you find out?

Unfortunately, none of the Amazon reports sellers can access match up with anything.
They claim it's the "universal time zone" they use.
If you notice that the settlement periods (2 weeks), they stop and start on the same day as the previous settlement period. So there's "double transactions" on every single settlement period.
This makes is very difficult to track actual sales. fees. profits, etc.

I just received an email from my bookkeeper/accountant with the answer to this question. Apparently, Amazon shifted from reporting sales based on the ship date to now reporting them based on delivery date plus seven days. So our October statement will only show about 24 days of activity. This messes up our books pretty badly, so not fun for our bookkeeper. We will all see lower reported sales in October. I wish Amazon had given us a heads-up.

Payments Unified Summary report only shows orders that have settled, meaning orders with funds that have been released. Therefore, if you're pulling a monthly report, about half of the orders of that month will reflect as released, while the other half will show on the next months report. Deferred transactions settle DD+7 days.
