Royal Mail Signed For 2nd Class - Disappeared from Buy Shipping!

We use the 'buy shipping' function and the option for 'Royal Mail Signed For 2nd Class Large Letter' for £3.05 has disappeared. We now need to send our large letter items via 1st class which is more expensive, or use an untracked service which we'll see our valid tracking rate metric suffer.

Has it disappeared for anybody else?

Thanks - Marc

Is it because that service won't deliver in time for a particular order?

Amazon in their wisdom remove shipping services that they think won't deliver in time.

It happened to me a month ago, no 2nd class services only 1st were available, so I changed my handling time to 2 days (despite posting same day) and 2nd class re-appeared.

Also, if you're purchasing LL postage through Amazon, they don't need to go Signed For. Just standard will suffice for VTR.

If you are using Buy Shipping then you do not need to use Signed for, especially if item is below approx £20 value, only if you want to cover for items up to £50 value. I only ever use standard 2nd class, and my VTR been exemplary for eons now !

Enquired in another group i'm in and some folk have reported, I quote "nationwide issues at the moment" with RM. Nothing on the website though, apart from a few local issues.
