Does Amazon have a restriction on the account? everytime the amount reaches a certain limit the sales stop?

Over the years I have seen this mentioned a few times - cannot verify whether it is true or not though, but many sellers have reported the same !

Amazon have sales projections for FBM sellers behind the scenes. If you exceed that projection then it can trigger a velocity review. Those reviews are typically done without the need to contact a seller and don't interrupt selling.
Sometimes they may require a seller to provide information to help the review. In those cases they contact the seller and ask a number of questions. Selling can be paused pending that review, but Amazon clearly state if that's the case.

there is an order limit that can be set in your settings. May be worth checking that isn't on? (In general shipping settings) There is a prime order limit and a handling capacity option.

We have noticed this and questioned it a few times over the years. I've brought it up in the forums a few times to be told I'm being daft and that Amazon wouldn't impose such a limit but I'm still convinced as it is just too much of a pattern as you say.
We've noticed that if we hit a certain sales total by say 10pm, then we don't get another order until just after midnight and then we get a couple of orders after midnight.
Of course, could just all be in my head, but I doubt it.

I have noticed this myself and the past and wondered the same thing, i mean amazon would rather have 50 different sellers turning over 1 million than one individual seller turning over 1 million, more shop subscriptions fee's etc

Hi, look in shipping settings template - there is a section there where you can put a maximum order level - maybe this has been set too low.

I am personally of the belief that Amazon sales throttle. It's in their interest to keep as many sellers onboard as they can, since that results in more professional selling plan fees that don't depend on general sale's trends.
If the sales will be made anyway, it makes sense to try to split them between multiple sellers, where they can.

amazon have full control over their site to a degree that would scare anyone if they didnt understand how things work.
They have it sussed - on point.
They can decide who views, and what they can view,
they can choose which seller gets mentioned first and which sellers (dont even get a look in)
they can effectively choose who buys your products.
scary - but true!
