Is it possible to make FBA items unavailable?
Kind of a long story, but I’m trying to make an FBA product unavailable so it’s not even visible to someone browsing. I thought maybe creating a hold order for all available inventory would do it, but there must be some inventory not fulfillable but still “available” for purchase within Amazon.
Any simple way to do this? Just need to do it for 6-12 hours.

If you have control of the listing, take out the lead image. Boom - Suppressed…

If you are only trying to do this for such a short period, personally I would edit the “Offer start date” to a further date instead of closing the listing, but both methods would achieve the same result.

Pirate, all three of the methodologies presented by the seasoned and savvy forum veterans (ASV, VTR, & jml) who’ve responded upthread are viable options - but I am constrained to ask if you can find your way clear to explicate, here in the publicly-visible ASF (“Amazon Seller Forums”) the reason why you find it necessary to pause sales of your Offer upon the Amazon Global Catalog Listing ASIN of concern.
May I ask if your motivation has anything to do with the well-known “periodically-running bots, deployed by nefarious competitors, are tying up inventory” phenomenon?
