Shipping Fees Doubled and now there, is an added Placement Fee????

Small-Tme Book & DVD FBA Seller: When I started selling books on Amazon FBA in December of last year, my typical shipping costs for a 40-50 pound box were +/- $10-$14. Now I am being charged for the same weight box $26-$29 .... plus a New PLACEMENT FEE of +/-$10 (+/-$38 Total - which was +/- $10-$14 .... that's a +/- 70% increase). Together these fees are almost triple what I was paying (up to April 2024). For the Small-Time FBA Book guy, where the typical Profit per box of books may be only +/- $225, that puts a major dent in my profit margin. I may need to be more selective on the Books & DVDs I plan to ship out. ANY OTHER small-time book/DVD (Supplemental Income) people seeing a major pinch on their profit margins?

Amazon is no longer interested in --

1. small accounts

2. CDs/DVDs

3. USED books

4. NEW books unless you are the publishing house

They have made it more and more obvious the past several years with fees, gating, and more.

Time to go find greener pastures that don't charge as much.

Haven't you read any of the posts by long time book sellers on here that have moved on to eBay and other locations?
