Someone is selling my book on my product page for 5x the price

My children’s book titled Weight to Wings is being sold on my product page for 5x my selling price. Emeserella is selling it for $68 and my books are not an option for the original $22. I have been trying to figure this out for months! Can anyone help me get her off my product page? I authored the book and I want it available for a reasonable price. My name is Amy Egbert.

how are they selling it on my page, with my pictures and my description?

Because that's the way Amazon works. The page is for the PRODUCT, not for the seller. It would actually be a violation for them to create a separate page to sell the identical item.

Have you opened a case about your product not showing up? If so, post the case# here and tag a mod to see if they can shed some light on the subject.

Hello @Seller_5nUSUBW6mCQGd / Amy,

Thanks for posting your inquiry. I understand your concern about the seller listing your children’s book “Weight to Wings” at a much higher price than the original. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn’t typically remove sellers or their listings based solely on pricing differences.

However, there are a few steps you can take:

  1. Review the listing to ensure it accurately represents your product. If there are any inaccuracies, you can report them to Amazon by creating a support case with Seller Support.
  2. Check if the seller is violating any policies. For example, if they’re using your proprietary images without permission, you can report this as a potential intellectual property violation.
  3. Ensure your own listing is optimized and priced competitively. This can help maintain your position as the Featured Offer.
  4. If you believe the seller is engaging in unfair practices, you can report this through Seller Central. Amazon takes violations of the seller code of conduct seriously. If you have reported this in a support case, please share the case ID here with me so I can review further.

I understand this situation can be frustrating, especially when it involves your own product. While we can’t control other sellers’ pricing, we do strive to maintain a fair marketplace for all sellers and provide the best experience for customers.

Regards,

- Manny

Someone else selling my book is totally fine, but how did they remove my listing? And their listing is the only option for a buyer.

OK, @Manny_Amazon, you're either a bot (today) or a very uninformed mod.

Amazon does this all day, every day...and you HAVE to know that.

What an ignorant comment for a mod to make. 🤡

"Someone is selling my book on my product page for 5x the price"

This is a common practice on Amazon called "flipping". Where people looking to make a quick profit buy an item when the price is low, and then re-sell it "flip it" for a profit once the original seller(you in this case) is off the listing for whatever reason. Many people are making a huge profit by doing this and there are a lot of apps or programs that they use to do it. Google "amazon to amazon flips", and you'll get the following response:

"Amazon to Amazon flipping, also known as online arbitrage, involves buying products on Amazon and reselling them on the same platform for a profit. This is a legal and legitimate business practice as long as it adheres to Amazon's terms of service. It's essentially a modern form of retail arbitrage, taking advantage of price discrepancies between different products or sales events on Amazon."
