Help me understand the shipping rate assigned to my listing.
I listed my first FBM product for $21. I was surprised that Amazon listed the product with a shipping rate of $5.54 and an option for faster shipping for $12.
Does amazon send labels and deduct the fee or are we expected to pay $14 for shipping and only get $5.54 shipping fee from Amazon? I think the minimum price to ship with Canada Post with a tracking number is well over $5.54.
Perhaps I could have specified a shipping fee during listing and just missed it.
Thanks

Labels from Amazon in Canada do not exist in the canadian marketplace.
You listed the product with the default shipping rate of $5.54
Yes, that is correct.
Also correct.
This is done in your shipping template if you have a professional account.

He's trying to get himself banned from selling on Amazon for life so he's not responsible for the selling fees he racked up before getting suspended.

Hi Cajun,
Congrats on your first FBM product listing.
For items under $30 including shipping you do not need to provide a tracking number.
If your item is a DVD/CD or small use lettermail with Canada Post and put it in a mailer. Put stamp $1.94 for 100g or less. $3.24 for 200g etc ...
For larger items you need to ship item as parcel, I would recommend you sign up a small business account with Canada Post. You can get 15% off on parcel shipments. For a small parcel, Expedited Shipment can cost $13-$15 avg (include tax) or more depend on destination in Canada.
You can print off shipping labels on paper and cut and tape to your item.
Also you can created a custom shipping template, instead of the default migrated template. With a custom/s shipping template with which you can set your own shipping rate and use that for items you list.
Hope this info helps you out.
Good luck!!!
regards,
