Changing barcode options

Afternoon all,

We’ve an FBA line which the barcode option is FNSKU/Amazon barcode. I’ve just realised to save myself some time & printing I can do it manufacture barcode (not sure why I did it Amz barcode in the first place) & I’d like to take it to manu. barcode. Can I do this without deleting the listing and creating it again with the same SKU? I’ve stock going in tomorrow & stock in on the FNSKU, if I delete it and do it via manu. barcode will I have any issues with the stock in FBA being FNSKU-ed?

I figure I can’t but thought I best ask the pros for clarification

Thank you

The barcode preference is linked to the SKU, unfortunately the only way to change it is to create a new sku. If you list again with the same sku you might find it linked to amazon barcode again.

If you delete the sku you will strand the stock already in amazon. Assuming you don’t have many in stock atm you could make a 2nd FBA listing with the new sku on manufacturer barcode and have double for a while (i know you aren’t supposed to, but I have in the past by accident and didn’t get in trouble)

otherwise wait for the old stock to sell out, delete the listing and try remaking it (24 hours later) with the same sku and see if it will let you assign manu barcode to it
