Account set-up

Hi,

I recently signed up for an Amazon Seller account and added my bank account and all the necessary information. However, I am encountering a frustrating issue where everything on my account is still grayed out, and I am unable to do anything. I can't even contact "Help" for assistance.

Whenever I try to click on "Edit," I receive a message saying, "Some links have been hidden from your favorites bar due to merchant or region restrictions," or it says that I do not have access.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, or can anyone suggest a solution?

Thank you in advance for your help!

What step in Verification are you? Have you done the piped bill or business papers submission yet?

Do you have a credit card entered under charge method in your account information? This is the most common reason for a new seller account to be non-functional.

Hi @Seller_0gY5Yd8CA5SqE,

When you create a new account, Amazon has a few verification processes that temporarily limit access. According to this help page under "The most common reasons", Amazon reviews new seller account information for up to three business days.

Additionally, since you've just added your bank account, there's a mandatory verification period. Under the "Important" note at this help page, there's a three-day security hold when new bank information is added. The same page mentions that bank account verification itself takes 48-72 hours.

The grayed-out pages and restricted access you're experiencing are explained in this help page, which notes that access to Seller Central pages depends on your account verification status.

Not being able to contact Help during this initial period is actually normal - you should get full access to all features, including Help, once these verification periods are complete. Amazon will send you email notifications about your verification status.

I know waiting isn't the most satisfying answer, but these temporary restrictions should lift automatically once the verification processes are complete.

Hope this helps explain what's going on! Let us know if you still have issues after the verification period.
