Customs Charges for 65 euro parcel - What proof can I send?
A customer in France is being asked to pay charges to release their 65 EURO parcel from the post office. We use Royal Mail Click & Drop, we have also registered our IOSS number with Amazon. The postage label has a barcode, QR Code and the IOSS symbol clearly displayed, there is also a complete Customs CN22 label.
We do send regularly to France, so I don't know why this parcel is any different?
She says that the post office want proof of the charges being paid, but I don't know what else to send her to prove the fees have been covered by Amazon?

Might be being picky but you say
", we have also registered our IOSS number with Amazon."
you should not be dealing with an ioss number but should be using amazons number in the click and drop.
I'm sure you are but check that you have used one of the ioss package sedning options as some are non ioss and if you happen to have used them it wont have registered.
Drop into click and drop and regenerate the lables to be sure.

As The_Stitchery_D0_179 says, you should be using Amazon's IOSS number.
Was the value of the parcel over £135? Was it a B2B transaction? Did you supply your EORI number? Have you seen evidence of the Buyer being asked for that? Does the tracking show it's being held in customs?
