Freight Forwarder price

Hi everyone
I would like to know your opinion regarding the price to get the goods from China to Uk , USD2.50 per/kg is it a good price? It’s DDP term.

my opinion is I wouldn’t touch anything from China with a big sharp stick, I would rather keep my account.

if you are going to buy from Alibaba or similar (after watching YouTube videos) DONT !! you more than likely wont be able to sell them on Amazon ad will get your account suspended as potentially you wont have proper invoices that amazon will accept.

Importing from China, BE CArEFUL- VERY CAREFUL

I do import from China but have never paid per kg.
I don’t understand how anyone could give you a DDP price per KG, the import duty is calculated on value. Unless you have given the freight forwarder the invoice or pro forma to quote from?

I gave them my details of my goods "weight and the measurement based on this information few freight company gave me different price they added per kg and total price which is USD 1100 , btw this is my first import.

It’s a very good price based on DDP term. But better to take DDU. You should use your own VAT/EORI to import the goods and pay the duty and vat by yourself. If you find a reputable freight forwarder,there is nothing to worry about importing from China.
