A weird FBA glitch?
Hi all,
I recently ran into a strange issue with the FBA that I have never seen before. I was wondering if you saw something like this before and how you handled it. Input from a MOD would be greatly appreciated too. I tried Seller Support, but they are not explaining what's going on and answered with a template that doesn't help at all (Case ID 15629380201).
I few days ago I was checking on status of FBA shipments to make sure that everything was received correctly and noticed that one of the shipments (10 units: 2 packages with 5 units each) shows that all 10 units were received, but, the CLOSED button is in red instead of normal grey, and it says "View defects in this shipment" under the shipment reference numbers. When I go there to check it out it says "Inaccurate item quantity in box" with 4 units in the Defect Quantity column. However, when I click on Contents tab, it shows all 10 were received.
If I click "Resolve" button next to the problem, it's asking me to acknowledge the issue of "Inaccurate item quantity in box" with a list of tips on how to avoid this issue in the future and threatening to suspend our ability to create future shipments, deny reimbursement, and repackage/relabel shipments and charge me a fee. There is no option to dispute this because it says the allotted time for that has passed. Only the option to acknowledge the issue exists.
I know I sent the correct quantity (I found photos, I packed everything myself, everything is serialized and recorded), UPS confirms weights and dimensions, no issues reported during the transit. And, since they are showing that all 10 units were received, there really nothing is missing and we did our job correctly.
I asked the SS to explain what's going on, but the only thing they wrote was:
"Upon checking we found that the defect occurred due to the reason Inaccurate item quantity in box.
However, Necessary steps were taken by Amazon to remedy the situation and receive your inventory which means we have resolved the issue and units were received without any discrepancies.
The time period for submitting a dispute request has expired, hence we suggest you to acknowledge the issue in the shipment page or below link"
Why should I acknowledge some ghost defect that never actually happened? My best guess is that Amazon, initially, miss-scanned/misssplaced 4 units, but later found them and completed the receiving. But the defect is now there and I'm the one who is stuck with that. The SS would not dismiss/remove the defect.
Were you able to remove it without acknowledging anything? Or should I just take the insult and acknowledge what they are asking, even though it's not true?

That is weird, @Seller_NzEmZKTEdcpPZ
Have there been any updates in that shipment's Contents tab showing a discrepancy, or is there still conflicting information?
