Important information about eligible FBA inventory disposals and donations
Eligible FBA inventory in Amazon AU fulfilment centres will automatically be available for donation to select charitable organisations when you choose to dispose of your relevant inventory. The donation option will apply to eligible inventory you select for disposal manually and through automatic disposal settings.
Enrolment in the FBA Donations program will take place between mid-January to mid-February 2024. You can verify your enrolment status by going to Settings > Fulfilment by Amazon > FBA Donations program. Once enrolled in the program, Amazon will automatically evaluate all of your eligible product disposals for donation.
If you do not want to participate in this program, you can choose to opt out of the FBA Donations program at any time by disabling your participation via your FBA Settings.

The big question most sellers will have lacks information. Great idea to cut waste and potentially do good instead of creating landfill, but do FBA sellers opting into this program receive any evidence of the donation, including the recipient? If it is a black box system and we simply see "Donated", there is no prospect of looking at a potential tax deduction while remaining within the bounds of acceptable evidence.
