Abusive customer keeps calling my customer service number about a refund for an item he has not returned
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know a way of ACTUALLY reporting a customer for abusing policies?
The customer opened a return request claiming the item and box arrived completely damaged - the delivery photo looks fine.
Apparently, he expected to get an immediate refund WITHOUT a return. As that didn't happen he chased a few times through Amazon to receive a refund.
As nothing happened from that he resorted to looking at our seller profile and keeps calling EVERY DAY swearing at me and my partner. As our customer service number he has also sent various text messages sending random photos of other amazon boxes but not our own.
Clearly knows that his threats and messages through our listed number are not monitored but I am losing the will to live here and amazon seller support just keeps telling me to make a claim with EVRI BUT HE HAS NOT ACTUALLY RETURNED ANYTHING OR EVEN ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A RETURN.
I tried the report a violation link but that just keeps being closed down as no violation detected.

if you still want to go the amazon route then there is an option in Report Abuse related to abuse not related to other menu options. If, as I imagine you continue to get nowhere with seller support you should probably open one more case and advise that you will be required to contact the police on this
in this instance I think you would be vindicated in actually contacting the police. Though others may have more knowledge of where the line at harassment is, but continual phone calls being abusive I imagine would warrant this.

Many phone lines have a facility to block certain numbers. Your mobile certainly has and that would block the abusive messages.
It won't stop them using a different number but that can be blocked too and so on..

I think most of the report abuse options are based around listings and bad behaviour by other sellers. There is nothing that is for reporting customer abuse.
As the abuse is happening outside of the Amazon system you cannot prove to Amazon that it is happening. It is not happening through their systems although their promotion of your telephone number does enable it.
I agree with the other comment on here to report it to the police for advice.
It may also be that the customer does have some mental health issues which is causing him to behave that way. It is not an excuse though.
Look at blocking the number if you can. It doesn't stop them contacting you by other numbers or private numbers though.
Depending on the value of the item it may just be worthwhile giving the refund to the customer. It may stop the abuse and give you peace of mind. I know it is giving in to the abusive behaviour but for your well being it might be the right thing to do.

Weve just had the same issue, originally they tried to cancel the order saying it was too late, when we advised A - It wasnt late it was actually delivered early. Then they said they wanted a full refund as it had arrived damaged, photo of delivery shows it in perfect condition. We agreed to accept the return (They didnt want to return it though - just wanted it for free) They then opened an A-Z and guess what Amazon granted it !!! Hence encouraging this abuse. Amazon dont offer a refund without a return for goods they are selling but they expect us to - WHY ???????

Record all calls and then hand evidence to police

I would block the number. This is possible on a mobile or a landline. I believe you can add the last answered call on a landline to the block list by dialing 1572, press 1 and then follow the instructions to confirm.. I'm sure he may try a few others but he will run out of numbers after a few i'm sure.
