Re-verify your Amazon seller account (but no "Start Verification" link!)

Hi.

I received the dreaded RE-VERIFY email this morning, and the language in the email said to go to >>Account Info and then click "Start Verification." Roger that, but that link doesn't exist there (or anywhere else on Seller Central - I've been through every. possible. page. now.).

I've reviewed a ton of forum posts about this, some reporting exactly what I'm (not) seeing, but can some knowledgeable someone PLEASE ADVISE me on next steps?

(I've been selling here for 15+ years, not a single solitary thing has changed on my end, and I understand why Amazon has to re-verify folks... BUT: why is the guidance in the email I received completely inaccurate? Can't one of the world's most profitable companies update their automated emails???)

I received the same email and had the same question. I then came here to the forum and searched "re-verify your Amazon seller account," hoping to find a topic on this and wasn't disappointed. I have no "start verification" link in my "account info" page or anywhere either. I believe it was only about less than a year ago where I think every seller had to verify their identity. However, the verification link was right on the front page dashboard and couldn't be missed. I don't know why we're being prompted to do it again, but hopefully it's just a mistake because so far I don't see any link to re-verify anything.

I tried to take a look into your account and do not see anything anywhere asking you for reverification. Is your selling account the same that is linked to this forum profile? If not, I will not have the ability to look into your account further.

If you have a case # associated with this with Seller Support, please provide that below and that will help me clear up confusion on which account you are referring to. The one that is attached to your forum username I am not seeing any requests for verification anyway and your account appears to be active and in good standing.

IF you don't see the link in Seller Central, it is a PHISHING SCAM, don't fall for it! NEVER click a link from an email, never, Never, NEVER!

If the verification is for deposit methods, you have to go looking deep into pages in your account info to actually find that they want you to re-verify anything. The email should have instructions about what they want you to re-verify if that is the case so that you will at least know where to go looking.

If it isn't showing up right away in your account, keep checking for a few days to make sure.

Don't follow links from emails unless you just requested email verification.

If it just an email and there is no actual link on your account or its says nothing on your account i would ignore the email. You can not do what it wont allow you to do . plus the email could be a scammer who knows i imagine if they want you to reverify your account it will pop up a link soon they get behind sometimes i think when we all had to reverify last year everything was behind it could had frustrated me but selling on here for so many years its so normal to be put in frustrating situations i just ignore it nowadys until i can take action then i take whatever action i can and thats all i can do idk good luck try not to let it frustrate you i understand tho for sure
