sent international customer wrong item
I sent the wrong item to a customer in Japan, but they had a US address for an exporting company to do the delivery to Japan.
They paid $36.99 for the item, $31.31 for the exporting company's shipping fee, plus customs upon arrival.
Of course I need to refund for these expenses but I don't know how to do that? Should they file a claim? Can I send them an amazon e-gift card through messaging?
Any suggestions?
Jackie

If the refund system will not allow you to refund extra, they must file a claim.
You may not send a gift card.

$31.31 for the exporting company's shipping fee...
This sounds like the buyer paid this to the 3rd party.
that is not something you are responsible for. Amazon will not charge your account for something they didn't get paid for. That would be between you and the buyer to figure out and is tricky....
If you were not aware this item ships international and shipped this believing it is a US order, you are not responsible in any way shape or form for their cost to ship it back to the US. Only the cost withing the US to return it to you.
