Marketplace facilitator order - help needed
Hi there.
I have an item listed at £64.99. It sold twice over the last two days for £56.87. The shipping address is in Jersey. Amazon customer services are clueless. I have two questions:
1) Has anyone seen this before? Total sold amount is much less to what the item is listed at.
2) Order details page say: Marketplace facilitator order: Amazon is collecting VAT on this transaction. What does that mean? I am not VAT registered.
3) Is there a way to exclude Channel Islands & Jersey from my shipping plan for FBA?
Many thanks :)

I have seen similar queries over the past while. Apparently the rules have changed for shipments to Jersey - check out the forum for the same.

Jersey changed their tax/import rules in July. If you're not VAT registered, you're going to have problems selling to there, as Amazon will take the Jersey VAT off your listing price even though they shouldn't.
It's the same issue that Amazon has with orders to the EU for non VAT registered sellers. I'm not sure if you're allowed to turn off sales to the channel islands or if that's one of the places you're obligated to ship to.
