Building Internanal Tool (BIL) Got Our Account Deactivated
Last month we created a product on Amazon.co.uk using the web interface for a new product for England. I listed the product only for the UK and listed with no issues. Product has been selling for over a month without a problem.
Last week I received a notification from Amazon Poland (amazon.pl) that we had listed a restricted product in Poland AND we had used measures to avoid the product being detected by Amazon so our account and ALL associated accounts were being deactivated. Wait - what? We never listed the product to be sold in Poland.
After researching this we discovered it was the Amazon BIL tool that took our ASIN from the UK and placed it for sale in all of the European marketplaces. So Amazon is accusing us of manipulating their systems by using THEIR SYSTEMS.. What adds to the frustration even more is all someone at Amazon has to do is pull up the ASIN from their end and they can confirm 100% of what we did. The problem with that is I am sure the average customer service rep at Amazon does not have access to this data.
We do not want our product sold outside the UK.. We never wanted our product to be sold outside the UK but try to get someone at Amazon Poland to actually understand what happened and to remove the listing and the restricted product violation from our account. One of the hurdles to all of this is we don't know anyone who speaks Polish. When attempted to have the case worked on from the UK seller support I received a message back stating we needed to address the issue with Amazon.pl
Also, our product is not a restricted product in any way based on their restricted product list. I am confident that when their BIL took the original ASIN and translated it into Polish, it did not do so accurately.
Not sure if anyone else has ever had a jumbled mess like this but any advice / guidance at this point would be greatly appreciated.
