Is FBA compulsory for drop shippers?

As a drop shipper, Do I have to sell by FBA? In amazon’s dropshipping policy, it states that ‘Purchasing products from another online retailer and having that retailer ship directly to customers is not permitted’. I wonder, what if all packing slips are written with my store’s name, is it acceptable?

Often overlooked policy for authenticity - Amazon requires sellers to have on hand invoices or letters of authorization from the brand.
How will you comply with that part?
Drop shipping can be done but very few can do it within Amazon policy.
To Amazon dropshipping is you buy inventory and have a 3rd party handle and ship for you. BUT you buy the inventory first.

Actually, my supplier is not an online retailer, he is a manufacturer(He has his own site to sell his products but I won’t order products from that site for my customers, instead, I will directly communicate to supplier). Therefore, I think there won’t be a problem if package contains my store’s name on it. Am I right?
