Fake products sold by competitors

Hello, This is my first post on that forum.

I have a problem, my competitors are selling fake products on the listing I created. The product has different brands and EAN on it. Or nothing at all

I bought a product from them and sent photos to Amazon, but because I'm not a brand owner, only a seller. They do not do anything with it.

The price for fake items is lower, of course.

What are you guys doing in that situation?

Hi Smart_House,

When creating an Amazon listing, unless you are Brand Registered, anyone can jump on your listing as the brand is "Generic".

Now I know this is unfair but the only way to kick people off of your listing is one of two ways.

1. Amazon keeps receiving consistent complaints that the item customers have bought are fake from that supplier.

2. Parallel import Infringement through Brand Registry.

So where can you go from here?

Firstly if this is your brand, id highly recommend applying for brand registry, to do this you are going to need a trademark with the brand name on it. but this gives you so much protection from your amazon listing and is a must do if you want to push your items onto amazon, if the brand is exactly the same as what you have typed into the product, the product will automatically update to becoming "your brand".

If it is not your Brand them i am really sorry but you cant do much, unless the brand you are selling has an amazon account and "control" the listing and only authorise particular sellers to sell that brand.

Kind Regards,

Elliot
