WHY ARE WE BEING PUNISHED ???
View post

The issue is no one knows what is going on at Amazon. The people who came up with this policy haven't explained it to seller support or us or the mods or the programmers. The mods are trying to figure it out, but they cannot explain it because the people who developed the program and the programmers don't know what it is.

Here is my issue.

I have 2 days set for handling time. Normally, we buy shipping ASAP which is apparently .8 days (19 hours 12 minutes) after the order is placed. That usually gives us one day to get the item to the carrier AND for the carrier to scan it.

But for some reason, Amazon is coming up with 2.9 days as our promised handling time. This is NOT the case. We only promise two days. No one at Amazon can tell us how this is calculated or where we can pull a report to see the actual dates to see where they are making their error.

Yet, I will be punished and switched to AHT which will have some cases of same day shipping or one day shipping that we simply cannot achieve. WHY? Because we still have the get the item to the carrier and the carrier still has to scan it.

This means that nearly all of our packages will be shipped late.

@KJ_Amazonand @Jim_Amazon

I know that you have been responding to other threads about this. Perhaps you can add my case 15776313681 to your list of cases to follow up.

I just want a simple answer. How did Amazon get to 2.9 days? Maybe there is a report where I can see this information.

I don't understand how most of us went from years of maintaining 99-100% to suddenly 95% and under overnight. How were they considered "On time" to begin with if they really weren't? I have to believe there is something fishy here.

Write seller support attention Executive Office. Sellers need to write and express what your thoughts.

This was a poorly thought out idea generated by a computer program not taking into account of real life scenarios,

Many of us we have excellent metrics and are excellent sellers. The ones who ship late should receive warning. As a customer I have only had a few who ship after two weeks. its pretty obvious that those people can get warnings etc.

FBA has been delaying deliveries to me. I know Third Party sellers ship as Fast as FBA as I have been on receiving end. It is on social media about how bad FBA Prime deliveries are so I give credit to the third party sellers shipping FBM!

My sales up to Jan 2024 were starting to look a lot like pre-pandemic sales. And then for no reason I can figure out, they started tanking again. To add insult to injury, 1 negative feedback removed my Buy-Box for a little over 3 months. And then after finally getting the Buy-Box back, UPS dropped the ball big time during the July 4th week. They didn't scan many of my orders that week until Friday July 5th, or even until the following Monday, July 8th, which caused 4 of my orders to be delivered a day later than expected. Causing my OTDR to drop big time. And now with this new policy making it near impossible to live up to delivery time standards, I'm sort of relieved my sales are down and Amazon isn't stressing me out to no end. Luckily, I never gave up my regular job I've been at for over 20 years. I'm mostly satisfied to have accomplished what I wanted to with Amazon. So if it ends, it ends. But I will miss the additional income! Too bad though. I worked hard to always be a 100%, or near 100%, rated seller. And now that effort seems wasted.

I am in the same situation: FBM, always use Amazon shipping, and maintain 100% handling time within expectations. However, the shipping time is out of my control, which is frustrating.

We could opt for more expensive delivery services, but they too can occasionally be late.

In my opinion, delivery service delays are a small percentage occurrence. If this happens to a buyer, perhaps a small percentage discount could be offered as compensation.

I am in the same situation: FBM, always use Amazon shipping, and maintain 100% handling time within expectations. However, the shipping time is out of my control, which is frustrating.

We could opt for more expensive delivery services, but they too can occasionally be late.
