I have been getting the same error since yesterday. I can't add new products, I can't add new variations, and I can't save any drafts product - which means that I have to add all the product data again every time that I try to add a product!

I have tried all of the following, none of these help:

  • Clear all browser data - cookies, cache etc
  • Used a different browser
  • Used a different browser in incognito mode

I've raised a support ticket but I'm sure that you know how much that helps :(

The last error that I received when trying to add a product (after correcting any missing data etc) was:

An error occurred when we tried to process your request. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Rest assured that we are working to resolve the problem as soon as possible. Please try again at a later time.

-'skip_offer' is required but not supplied.

I'd guess that Amazon has added a field internally called "skip_offer" that is compulsory, but we can't see the field to set it.

Not sure if this helps but having had a look at the Spreadsheets that we download when creating products = https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/listing/cards

Column "W" has the attribute for skip_offer

Are you uploading the product details via Spreadsheet into Amazon ? = https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/listing/upload

I get the same offer. Ive tried uploading a SS but that causes more issues than using the manual way.

Looks like i might have to bite the bullet and use the SS method :-( as i cant see AMZ sorting this any time soon.

So far support have asked me:

  • Provide screenshots
  • To clear browser data
  • Use Firefox
  • Provide the same screenshots again
  • Provide the SKU (not sure how that will help, as I can't add the SKU)
  • Clear browser cache and cookies (again)
  • Provide them with an ASIN for the new product that I can't add (which doesn't have an ASIN because it is new)
  • Provide the URL where the issue happened.
  • Provide the same screenshots again
  • Provide the error message (again)
  • Clear cache and cookies (again)
  • Use Firefox (again)
  • Clear cache and cookies (again)
  • Provide the error message (again)
  • Clear cache and cookies (again)
  • Provide the ASIN - which I can't add! (again)
  • Try adding a product again
  • Fix a totally unrelated product that is stuck in my "with issues list" - the issue is that I am out of stock, so I deleted it to make them happy
  • Try adding a product again using a link they sent me
  • Take another full screen screenshot of the issue
  • Look for the missing "Skip Offer" field in the "Offers" section of the form (which is missing)

They've now passed it on to another person/team. This will be the thrid person/team :(

I have 0% confidence that this will be fixed until someone at Amazon starts to wonder why so many sellers are no longer adding any new products.
