Problem after sending Inventory with manufacturer barcode (barcode on item dose not match with barcode on listing)

hope you guys are doing great in your business, I shipped products to amazon few days back, While creating listing for that product amazon stated that no FNSQ needed and they will accept manufacturer barcodes only, So i sent the items that way. after the products reached amazon warehouse this is the Massage i got from amazon!

img

after my investigation i came to know that the barcode of the listing for which i sent the items dose not match with the barcode on the items and after further investigation with my supplier i came to know that the manufacturer has updated the barcode and made little changes on product packaging now they manufacture it this way but the product is same as listed on amazon.

what should i do now? any advice would be highly appreciated....

best regards,

Does the barcode on the item match an existing listing?

Hello @Seller_o8kPGoLlggPEg,

Here Simon from Amazon.

How did it work out in the end?

Did the manufacturer also update the barcode for the listing?

Please let me know in case you still need assistance.

Best,

Simon

It is mandatory for UK sellers to use Amazon barcode and not manufacturers barcodes.

We have been sending Manufacturers barcoded items in for years but have been told that this stock will be destroyed on arrival in the future.

Not following this policy turns any unit into non eligible for reimbursement once destroyed.

Just written off a branded business on amazon as we ship direct from the production facility.
