Help with creating a child asin

How do I create a child asin if the parent asin has no variation? Is that even possible?

That's not possible but you could create a new parent listing and add the current 'parent' listing you've mentioned as one of the child listings, as well as any additional child listing you want to add.

I believe this is right... we've managed it before. You might have to be the brand owner over the original listing, we was, so I am not to sure if that's a requirement.

Hello @Seller_JyUKXXTvx5w7u,

I am Spencer with Amazon.

Were you able to create child ASINs?

Here is an page that has a lot of information on this topic.

Good reply from SmugOne but before you do check if the category of the product even allows variations.

If the category does not allow variations (not all do) then there is nothing you can do. Amazon variations are only for categories that may come in multiple sizes and/or colours. So, for example, if the difference is in pattern and not colour (e.g. spotted or striped) then you cannot setup as a variation. I know some listings have gotten round that restriction by using Colour to choose Spotted or Striped but there have been cases in the forums of the listing later getting split into separate listings and losing any reviews of the product.
