Letter of Authorization from Licensed Manufacture but not the Brand itself

So I buy directly from a manufacturer of big name brands such as ford, chevy, Budweiser, etc. etc. I stopped buying all branded products from them because I couldn't sell them on amazon, they were offering me new branded hats, I mentioned to my salesperson and explained to them I was not allowed to sell without a letter of authorization from the Brand.

They told me that they provide Letters of Authorization for their products and other sellers use this letter to sell their products on amazon, most of the products they manufacturer have their tags, for example, they make Ford hats with their tag on the inner band. The hats have both tags, the manufacturer and the brand.

Will the letter of authorization from the manufacturer of Ford hats allow me to sell Ford hats on amazon or do I still need a letter directly from Ford?

Most likely, no. They do not have explicit authorization from those brands for you, a 3rd party seller to sell on Amazon without brand permission.

"Will the letter of authorization from the manufacturer of Ford hats allow me to sell Ford hats on amazon"

" most of the products they manufacturer have their tags, for example, they make Ford hats with their tag on the inner band. The hats have both tags, the manufacturer and the brand."

As @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9notes, it is a 'maybe, maybe not' but on Amazon that is generally a NOT.

The only possible way I could see it working is selling under the Brand name of the manufacturer since their name is on a tag.

Then you have to work through all the 'compatible with Ford' language that you would use for replacement parts.

IF the manufacturer gives you an LOA for their brand AND provides proof that they are officially licensed by Ford, it MIGHT work.

On the other hand, it could also get you suspended.

To quote Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry (young pups will need to Google that) --

"Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?" (No insult intended) 😀

You would need a copy of THEIR authorization to use those various brand names

Hi there @Seller_qJXoMTLjoHd1j,

As mentioned by other sellers, a Letter of Authorization can only come from the Brand. If the manufacturer has authorization you might be able to appeal and demonstrate a relationship between you and manufacturer and the manufacturer and the brand but it can be some times be difficult to demonstrate that you have proper authority.

In general it is best to ensure that you yourself have the LOA. Thank you for your understanding.
