Understanding Your Amazon Statement View: A Quick Guide
The Payments Dashboard: Statement View is your go-to resource for an overview of your account activity. The page helps you stay on top of your Amazon business finances with a graph showing your beginning balance, credits and expenses, and any account level reserve.
In the blue ‘’Sales“ section of the Statement View, you'll find the amount collected from orders and shipping, promotional rebates, refunded expenses, and other credits — giving you clear visibility into your gross merchandise volume and revenue streams. “Other” credits in the section include, but are not limited to, FBA inventory reimbursements, gift wrap credits, and SAFE-T Claim reimbursements.
The red ‘Expenses' and 'Refunds' sections itemize customer refunds, promotional rebates, shipping fees paid, advertising charges, and Amazon fees: account-level, MFN, and FBA. The Chargebacks section shows any funds deducted due to customer disputes, helping you identify and address potential issues with products or service. Finally, the “Other” amount in this section compiles miscellaneous charges that include coupon redemption fees and prepaid return shipping label costs.
We are often asked for more details about the “Other” categories on the Statement View. These sections collect different transaction types that are often shown in detail on the Transaction View. For example: prepaid return labels are shown on the Statement View as an ‘Other’ expense but in the Transaction View as “Transaction type: Shipping services / Product Details: Billing for return postage.” To view the individual transactions covered on the Statement View, click the “View transactions for this period” link, Download the transactions, then sort the results by Transaction type and Product Details.
