need clarity on OTDR policy please

Hi amazon mods and fellow sellers,

@Dominic_Amazon,

Reg. New ODTR policy

-Since when are the rules effective e.g. all FBM have to meet a min. OTDR of 90%?

-Do all categories have to maintain an OTDR of min. 90 percent? Or books and other categories are exempt?

-Is this min. OTDR of 90 per cent applicable to US sellers only or sellers from outside US also?

-What is the OTDR policy, if the main company/seller is US based and they sometimes ship from their own one warehouse in Asia for some items? This one Asia warehouse is our own warehouse and is already added in the 'ship from locations" and is used frequently.

Thanks to clarify.

First question from OP is end of September (date not to hand). Remaining questions I would also welcome clear and definitive answers. Thanks in advance.

Hi @Seller_ZbcEBv3JYIZDb,

Effective September 25, 2024, you'll need to maintain a minimum 90% OTDR without promise extensions to have seller-fulfilled products listed on Amazon.com.

For certain product categories (Custom-made, media, and heavy and bulky SKUs), you have the flexibility to request an exception to manually set a SKU-specific handling time that will override what AHT has configured. To request an exception of your handling time, please contact Selling Partner Support and ask them to create a ticket for you to have a handling time exception. We recommend doing this for SKUs where your handling time may be very unpredictable and using your history may be inaccurate. To learn more, see Manage your handling time.

Best,

Dominic
