A police officer goes into to a bank says he is looking for criminals. The reply he gets is, “You’ve come to the right place. They are all criminals here”
Moral of the story is, all banks are much of a muchness.

I’m a Starling customer (personal) and was really happy with them until last week when my account was a victim of fraud - online transactions that happened overnight. When I found out the next morning I called them and they agreed it was fraud but wouldn’t refund the money or start the investigation until the transaction came out of pending… which takes 7 days. Not happy … I also applied for a business account - they wanted me to provide existing business account statements and business plan documentation which, as a startup, you don’t have yet… I did send them a business plan but they wanted more documentation and took all weekend to reply…
So instead I’ve now set up an account with Tide - they were offering a £50 cash back incentive as well and were really quick sending out the bank card (within 2 days) and customer service seems great so far. When I asked them for a document to prove I had an account they emailed back a letter the next morning.
Maybe for existing companies with more history Starling is good … but Tide seems better for startups.

Or Transferwise or maybe WorldFirst…
The way Revolut currently run things doesn’t appear compatible with Amazon at the moment if you’re selling on the DE/FR/IT/ES marketplaces because their EUR accounts are based in the UK.

we have a business account HSBC £6 Per month - no problems but my goodness logging on is like trying to access fort knox - Im surprised they dont ask for my knicker size as well - Nice to know its secure but they are a bit too “uneasy access” when you want to withdraw money you have to submit a form to authorise them the maximum so if you wanted £250 one day but £500 the next week I had to submit a new form as I only asked for £250 last time so just end up saying a blanket £1k just incase only wanted to transfer money to another account - bit ridiculous so I try not to use that account unless Im paying suppliers and bills as OK if your using your debit card…

Starling bank all the way!! I switched to these guys a few months ago and in my opinion far superior to any high street bank.
