new here with some questions on adding an already existing product

hi, I want to sell an already existing product on amazon but I am not sure how to do this correctly. Lets say its available to sell product but does my product have to be the same exact thing as the product being sold already? I am just confused on how to find a supplier.

Yes. When you list on an existing detail page the product much match exactly. This means -- with the proliferation of brands -- that the exact same Alibaba item has dozens of detail pages -- all with a different "brand". You may not list on any of those pages. It would have to be a generic page (just using that Alibaba product as an example)

Hello @Seller_ZwoAkqBVRNCp2and welcome to the seller forums. I appreciate you looking to confirm these details before looking to list.

To be sure, anytime you look to match your products to an existing listing they do need to be the same exact product. In cases where the product is discernably different, and not listed on the site, you would need to create a new ASIN.

I would also recommend watching this helpful video on how to appropriately source inventory for sale on Amazon per your question of finding a supplier.

Thanks again for looking to the forums, and I do hope this helps!
