Just when I thought I saw it all Amazon shows me even more uselessness

The customer contacted me about a delivery issue, I wrote back explaining the problem and refunded the customer, about 10 minutes later I got an A-Z claim for the order. Basically the customer opened the claim during the processing time of the refund. The customer is in Spain so Amazon deducted the tax for IOSS when the sale was made and when you process a refund Amazon refund this amount from their side. The buyer opened the claim as I said but the claim was for the IOSS payment of course Amazon granted the claim (surprise surprise). Surely Amazon must know that I already processed the refund before the claim was opened, it really ridiculous! It’s not the €5.23 that bothers me it the ODR points! It’s ludicrous, how does Amazon operate like this, it’s like amateur time! Now I got to waste my time and effort trying to sort this out (which it probably won’t be knowing Amazon).

If Amazon grants a claim in favor of a customer (automatically or post investigation), you have 30 calendar days to appeal, provide new information, and request further investigation. Amazon will re-investigate claim, using all available information (including new information provided) and may request additional information from you, or you may provide additional information during the appeal process. Following investigation on appeal we will decide whether or not to reverse the initial decision, in whole or in part (this may include reversing impact to your ODR or reimbursing you for the refund amount). If you do not appeal within 30 calendar days, the claim will be closed and any negative impact to your ODR cannot be reversed.
