I purchased 50 units from Amazon to get ungated and still denied
Seller Central lied. You have in writing if I purchase 50 units from Amazon I can be ungated. Additionally you state I need to provide the final order confirmation or a invoice if the 50 units came from Amazon, I have done both and I still get denied. The response comes back asking for my "supplier" which is Amazon....to submit proof with receipts that they are authorized to sell Bath and Body works. So let's look at this; Amazon is the supplier but you want me to provide proof from Amazon that Bath & Body Works are approved to be sold? Hello....duh Amazon you sold me the Bath & Body Works you are my supplier so I need you to show me proof that Bath and Body Works allowed you to sell on your own platform so I can send that proof back to you so you can approve me to sell on Seller Central. This is dumb. If Amazon is the seller and the supplier and I'm asking for Amazon to approve me to sell what they sold to me how am I supposed to get documents from Amazon about their own product, it makes no sense. The whole purpose of purchasing 50 units FROM AMAZON was to establish the chain of custody from Amazon.....the supplier therefore I don't proof of authentication because Amazon as the supplier is the proof.

Where are you reading this? Please provide a link or screenshot.
You cannot purchase retail to satisfy Amazon's invoice requirements. Amazon is a retail store. Even if allowed -- there is no room for profit in buying retail in order to sell retail.

who in their right mind would buy at retail from this platform host and expect to make a profit?

Hello @Seller_TAB5iW6azqCEk,
Can you please advise where you are seeing this as I am not seeing the same information when I review your selling application drafts for Bath and Body Works.

This states it cannot be a retail order confirmation or invoice.
Looking forward to hearing back from you!

It is pretty general knowledge that you can not buy products from amazon to get ungated.

Time for an IQ and reading comprehension test before allowing anyone to sign up for an Amazon account.

That's not how any of this works... You need authorization from the supplier themselves specifying that YOU are allowed to sell their products.

This was a good laugh lol I hope you it resolved though, and by that I mean help from seller support

an order receipt from amazon isn't an Invoice. Calling it doesn't make it so. Not even bath and body works retail store would be sufficient im guessing.

Forgive the other sellers and mods here for not knowing how things have worked in the past. This was a common practice and still sometimes works if the item is "Shipped and sold" by Amazon. Amazon has even advertised this in the past to business accounts that sell. However, that seems to be changing quickly.
Amazon needs to change their verbiage to "Brand Authorized manufacturer or distributor with a letter of authorization for Marketplace selling." On a second note, Amazon needs to block listing any products for all brands not authorized so they will stop the predatory account closure and fund retention/theft practices.
