Primary contact has left the business - what are our next steps?
We are a registered limited company and our Primary Contact (who was Managing Director) on our account has recently left the business. He was a beneficial owner, but not a majority owner.
We want to change the primary contact to the new managing director, however we cannot remove the primary contact in the settings page. We have reached out to Seller Support who advised that seller accounts are not transferable, and that if the ownership of a business changes, the new owner needs to establish a new seller account.
The ownership of the business hasn’t changed though, as the member of staff has relinquished their shares and the other shareholders remain the same. Amazon is now asking us to provide a letter of authorisation from the previous contact.
We don’t think we’ll have a problem getting this, but is there an easier way of solving this issue?
