Help Needed: Account Deactivation Appeal Denied Due to Linked Account

Hello,

I am seeking assistance regarding an issue with my Amazon seller account, Acinra, which has been deactivated due to its perceived connection to another account, ARIKONLINE. Here’s a summary of the situation:

The ARIKONLINE account belonged to my brother and was permanently deleted in 2021.

Despite this, my Acinra account was deactivated, citing a policy violation due to the use of a credit card previously linked to ARIKONLINE during my account registration.

I have submitted an appeal, explaining the situation and providing supporting documentation (e.g., proof of ARIKONLINE’s deletion and updated payment information for Acinra).

However, Amazon's response stated that more information is needed and that I must appeal the violations on the ARIKONLINE account. Since this account has been permanently deleted and I have no access to it, I am unable to comply with this request.

I’ve taken every step to ensure compliance with Amazon’s policies and have clarified that I only have one account (Acinra). Despite this, I’m at an impasse and am unsure how to proceed.

Has anyone faced a similar situation? Any advice on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,

I know it does not seem so now, but it is really a good thing you know who the Related Account belongs to and also what caused the Relationship.

It would be very unusual to have your Brother's account deleted. It would be more normal for his account to be deactivated, similar to what you are experiencing. The first path to reactivating your account would be to have your brother reactivate his first. To do that, he would need the CORRECT email and password he originally used to set up his account.

There are many ways accounts can be connected but, in your situation, you already explained it was due to a shared Credit Card. To separate your accounts you should replace that card on your account to break the connection.

For this type of violation there are different situations and each have different Dispute Requirements. I believe your situation is best described as you do recognize the other account, but the other account is not an employee, spouse, 3rd party provider or business partner.

For your situation these are the Dispute Requirements:

  • Signed and dated affidavit, or signed and dated document, from ( YOU ) who opened the account, explaining who owns the other account and their relationship to you. You should specify what roles/access does your brother have or had in the past to your Amazon account.
  • You should provide information on how to contact whoever you have Notarize your statement.
  • Any official documentation to support their claim, like a bank statement (in case you made a payment to the person who owns the other account) . Or in your case, your NEW credit card statement. Explain when you opened the new credit card and how you no longer use the old card.

This is the correct process to reactivate your account. Only provide exactly this information.

If you provide the Notarized statement of the Facts and include the new credit card information, this should be successful. You do need to prove you are no longer connected to your brothers account, that is why you must address the shared credit card issue.

Please watch the above help videos.

I am very interested in the outcome. I am available to support you in this process. Please do provide an ASIN, Case ID or Performance Notification.

I look forward to your response. Thank you for reaching out on the Forums.
