WHY AMAZON?
Why holding on to our money for 10 days and then a further 5 to reach our bank. This is just crippling and now you cant even sort your vat invoicing out... All this hit in the same month.
i just hate this!

Yes i do understand your concerns as a seller they use a slower BACS File payment rather than "Faster Payments"
Ebay are nearly always next day although they say up to 2 days.
AMazon will claim its Indutry standard when its only their standards
I dont sell on Etsy or Onbuy so can't say about their payment timescale.
This DD+7 is just another way of Amazon keeping your cash in bank accoiunt to help it cashflow

Not an ideal solution, but you can manually request a payout every 24 hours. There's still the delay, but after a short while, you'll be receiving daily payments.
It still shouldn't take 5 days to process a payment. I get eBay payments the same day.

This did me a favour a few years ago, I noticed that a disbursement had been made on my account that I not requested.
A quick check and someone in Slovakia had hacked my account, contacted Amazon, payment got halted. I don't think they actually send the payment when you dispurse but a few days later.

I think it's only an issue when they transfer you from their old payment system to this new DD + 7 Days + (3 working days to clear into your account). So mine got transferred into this new system 14 days ago and now after 14 days I can see all my sales proceeds progressively available. I actually think works out the same timescale as the old system but the switchover causes an initial period of 14 days but if you can manage around that it works out fine I think. Well for me anyway.

So damaging to us, we were already struggling with cash, now this has taken almost all of our disbursement into DD+7 category and made it difficult to predict payments and how much we will actually receive in the next go!

We are all struggling for cash but the issue is that this has happened due to some bad players.
Although it is not right to paint everyone with the same brush but considering there are so many sellers from all world over; I understand the steps Amazon has taken.
However, this just calls for better cash management and more attention to detail which is not a bad thing for most businessmen.

Haven't seen it mentioned, but if you're eligible make sure you email eu-uk-reserve-policy-extension@amazon.co.uk to ask for an extension to next September. They granted it to me without any questions, but I, like a lot of you have mentioned, have cashflow issues, and im due £1400+ that's been affected by the policy.
I'm at the point im now looking to sell my business to get out from under all Amazons fiddling

I am writing to express my concerns regarding the timely payments to sellers on the Amazon platform. It is crucial to understand the impact of delayed payments on sellers' ability to reinvest in their businesses and cover essential expenses.
Platforms like eBay facilitate daily payouts to their sellers, ensuring they have the resources to operate smoothly. We believe this system should be mirrored on Amazon to support our seller community better.
Unfortunately, it often feels like our voices are not being heard in this matter. We urge you to consider implementing a more efficient payment system that would alleviate the financial pressure on sellers.
Thank you for your attention to this important issue. We hope to see changes soon that will support the growth and sustainability of our businesses.
