Shipping Setting for Carrier
Over the past few years, I have moved from UPS to FedEx as my primary carrier. On my shipping setting, I have it set up for FedEx. I have removed all check marks on any UPS shipping. Even though I may use UPS on a few orders, its FedEx 95% of the time. I want delivery time based on FedEx. My quesion is, why is Amazon still using UPS to calculate time when I dont want them too.

Because Amazon doesn't care what YOU want.
Their system uses what THEY think will work best (and who they have a better -- more profitable to Amazon -- contract with).
Same reason why if you use their 'buy shipping' so many items NEVER show USPS as being available because Amazon doesn't think it will arrive in time. Of course, their taking 15% or 20% of the higher shipping fees has nothing to do with that.../S
" I have removed all check marks on any UPS shipping. "
In addition, if you just made the changes, their gerbil tubes can take days/weeks to make the way to having changes active!
