Amazon deactivated my account and will not tell me the reason and won't provide info
So, I sold books on Amazon back in 2018. Eventually I removed all the inventory and stopped selling on Amazon. Yesterday I log into Seller Central because I wanted to check on something and noticed it said my account was deactivated. I just assumed it was because I've been inactive.
I never received any email from Amazon about my account being deactivated. So I click on the reactivate button and it asks me a few questions. It keeps saying something about another account. It asks if I recognize the account but it doesn't even display or give me any info on this supposed other account. So I click no on everything and explain that I have no other account and I don't know what they're talking about. No 3rd party ever accessed my account either. No breach of data.
I submitted this info yesterday and just now without emailing me, I go to my account and it says evaluation is complete and they still cannot reactivate my account. No reason, no explanation, no nothing. It allows me to submit "new" information but there's nothing for me to submit since I have 0 clue as to what they want or anything. Has anyone ever had to deal with this? They are giving me NO reasoning or explanation. I also still have 0 emails from them explaining anything and not even an email for when it happened.
If anyone can help me try to understand what I can do to figure this out it would be greatly appreciated. I tried to open a case/appeal for it but I get an automatic reply saying that that way isn't the proper way to go about it and it automatically closes my case. I'm not really sure where to go from here. Obviously they think it has something to do with me supposedly having another account but I 10000% do not.
Thank you for any help!

Greetings @Seller_Mqy92rIR6Gql3,
I appreciate you utilizing the Seller Forums with the questions you have about your deactivated account.
While you have not received further insight into the specifics of the deactivation, it appears your account has been deactivated due to non-compliance with the Code of Conduct and Multiple Accounts policy.
Anytime personal information is shared between multiple accounts, Amazon automatically considers them to be directly related and owned by the same person or business. When there are multiple accounts connect like this, all of the accounts must remain in good standing and active at all times. If one of the accounts is deactivated for any reason, all associated accounts will be deactivated and remains so, until the root of the issue is resolved and the target account is active.
This can happen in many different ways. In order to investigate the issue, I urge you to consider the following questions:
- Have you ever utilized a 3rd party to create or operate your selling account?
- Do you have any friends, family members, co-workers, or employees who have a selling account?
- Do you share devices with anyone, such as a laptop or mobile device, which could have been used to access different selling accounts?
- Do you have multiple marketplaces, as included in the global selling program?
I am going to forward your information to the appropriate team so there can be a better investigation with more insight to the specific issues on your account.
All the best,
Stevie
