Deregister from VAT Italy, how much is reasonable price?
I was told it would be EUR 350 from Singularity which is the tax company that amazon allocated for me. I think it is a lot for only one country. Any advices? Thanks!

In all seriousness though it sounds like just filling in one form so yes way too much. According to chat-gpt
To deregister for VAT (Value Added Tax) in Italy, you generally need to follow a specific process outlined by the Italian tax authorities. The procedure may vary depending on your specific situation, so it's advisable to consult with a tax advisor or the local tax office (Agenzia delle Entrate) for precise guidance. However, here are the general steps you can take to deregister for VAT in Italy:
1. Assess your eligibility: Ensure that you meet the criteria for deregistering from VAT. Generally, this would apply if you are no longer engaged in taxable activities in Italy or if your annual turnover falls below the threshold for mandatory VAT registration.
2. Calculate your outstanding VAT liabilities: Make sure that you've paid all outstanding VAT and submitted any required VAT returns for the period leading up to your deregistration.
3. Complete the necessary forms: You'll need to fill out specific forms to apply for deregistration. The primary form for VAT deregistration in Italy is "Modello AA7/10 - Comunicazione di Cessazione dell'Attività" (Communication of Cessation of Activity). You can obtain this form from the local tax office or download it from the official website of the Agenzia delle Entrate.
4. Submit the deregistration application: Once you've filled out the necessary forms, submit them to the local tax office or send them through the official Agenzia delle Entrate online portal, if available.
5. Await confirmation: After you submit your deregistration application, the tax authorities will review it. If they find that your application is in order, they will confirm your VAT deregistration.
6. Inform your business partners: Notify your suppliers and customers that you are deregistering for VAT. They may need to adjust their accounting and tax records accordingly.
7. Last VAT return: File your final VAT return, accounting for all your transactions leading up to your deregistration. Ensure you've accounted for any VAT adjustments or corrections as necessary.
8. Deactivate your VAT number: Once your VAT deregistration is confirmed, your VAT number will be deactivated, and you will no longer be able to charge or collect VAT.
9. Maintain records: Keep records of your deregistration documentation for several years in case of any future inquiries from tax authorities.
Remember that the specific steps and requirements for VAT deregistration in Italy can vary depending on your circumstances. Consulting with a tax professional or reaching out to the local tax office is advisable to ensure that you follow the correct process and meet all the necessary criteria.

For me in the Netherlands they offered 125 euro to deregister from VAT in the UK. It sounds like a lot, maybe you can shop around?
